Locations within your home
The front door will be the first location examined by the inspector. The doorframes and every suspicious area to check whether or not the wood has become hollow. The inspector has her/his special tool called sounding tool. After checking out the doorframes, he/she will examine the ceilings, wall surfaces, floors, wood trim, and baseboards, places that are raised in paint or under wallpaper.

Done inspecting the interior of your home, the inspector will then inspect the exterior of your home. He will take a look into the siding and veneer and examine the wood structures, including fences or stored lumber (if you somehow have those). He will also look for mud tubes on the exterior of the foundation wall, carefully examine the drainage patters and the eaves of your house, including the downspouts and the gutters which are connected.
